Stranger merges musical composition with social documentary to create soundscapes and audio essays.
Field recordings are collected from everyday life. Interviews with chance encounters, recordings of streets and overheard candid conversations are employed as musical vignettes within pieces; exploring the natural melodies and rhythms of the human voice.
This work is grounded in theories on social documentary, street photography, psycholinguistics, surveillance and audio description.
The album 'Stranger' was released on 22nd March 2024.
